Hey all! So I realized I seriously need to clean up this dA gallery, but I'm not sure what I want to do with it exactly. I mean, I have a website/blog for my 3D modeling and through dA portfolios I have a graphic design gallery. Thus I feel it's too much to put all that stuff up on here as well. Then again I also reason that it's a place where I can do just that as well. So I'm a bit conflicted in what I want to do here. I know I need to get back into 2D art as well and this would obviously be the place to put all that. *sigh* Decisions. I think I'm rather lazy though lately and that's another reason this feels so difficult to decide. Also the fact that I hate having to up keep several different profiles on the net. But again, more exposure is suppose to be good right? Hmm...I'll think about it more later I guess. If you could give me some advice on it as well I'd greatly appreciate it!

Lol, sorry for that, but it wasn't totally for not because I bet you looked at the title and was like, wtf? and then proceeded to click and read. And so ends my recap. XD Anyway, the reason for the title is because it's the title for a fan page on Facebook for one of my former instructors. He's pretty awesome character/creature artist working with digital sculptures and whatnot. So you should go take a look and help support him by helping spread the word about his amazing skills.

So hey all, long time no see! ^_^ I've been MIA due to school, but seeing as I won't be going anywhere for two weeks and it's winter vacation, I figured now was a good time to put out some cheap commissions! Hooray! Here's what I'm offering for the time being:

Example Headshots - Priced: $3 each

Important Information
1) Commissioned artworks are for personal use only! You may not resell the artwork, use it for commercial purposes or use it for personal gain.

2) Of course I will try to get your commission done asap, yet please don't try to push me into some sort of deadline as it will only delay your art more. (Sometimes pressure isn't a good thing, lol.)

3) 1 slot = 1 piece of art. If you want more than one by all means take another slot, yet be aware that I won't open new slots until all these slots are full and all commissions have been completed.

4) Payment is via Paypal only. Please send commission info (via note or email: hclesage@aim.com) and payment within 24 hours of confirmation else you forfeit that slot(s). To pay just include your Paypal address in the note/email and I'll send you an invoice. It will be inclusive of Paypal fees (if any apply). Prices above are not inclusive of Paypal fees.

5) I don't start drawing until I've received the full payment.

6) I retain the rights to the artworks I create. I also reserve the right to reject your order. (More than likely I won't, though it really depends on the subject matter.)

So you might have noticed some actual happens to my page as of recently. Well you're not dreaming I'm starting to upload a lot of the work I've done in the last six months. Holy crap! I can't believe I've been at Full Sail for half a year already. Still feels like yesterday I loaded up my tiny VW Bug with what little possessions I had and dragged my sorry butt down here to sunny Florida.

Seriously, time really does fly here at FS. You're so busy every month with projects and other various miscellaneous work that before you know it a whole month's gone in the blink of an eye. Not that I'm complaining (much XD), it's actually kinda nice not getting bored with projects or class. Though it has taken a lot of time to adjust to.

And as being such, most of the stuff I'm starting to post is school work of course. I don't get a lot of time to do my own stuff. Mostly cause when I do get time I'm too tired or just wanting a break lol. But being totally immersed in art and artists 24/7 has really given me back my drive to create again. I was scared at first coming down here where I knew nothing and no one, but in the end it's been one of the best decisions I could have made. I'm excited to continue on learning and getting better at this 3D stuff.

So after much debate (yet again), I decided to continue using dA's portfolio system instead of creating and maintaining my own. I might not be able to control every single detail of the look and feel of it at this point, but at least I have a free and professional looking site to post my works on (Thank you dA! ). I'll think about working on my own site again at a later date. For now this is the right fit for me.

And speaking of my design portfolio, I've updated it with a few new pieces. Nothing major as I've not really gotten around to doing much creative wise lately, but I've had things I've done from time to time. So go have a look here if you haven't lately.

As far as my life goes, things have been pretty down in the dumps for awhile. I was let go from my full time permanent position over a year or so ago (man does time fly), and was trying to find another design job in my area after that. Unfortunately with the times, design work has been rather cut throat and my little degree is apparently now not enough for employers. So I've decided to go back to school. In fact, I'm going back this fall. ^_^ I'll be attending Full Sail University for Game Art and I couldn't be more excited! Hopefully combining this pending degree with my graphic associates will really boost my chances later down the road.

Annnnnnnddddd...that's pretty much it. I'm temp working up until I go to school which is awesome and I'm helping a friend with her upcoming wedding. So things are starting to take a good turn in my opinion. If I keep things going like this, maybe I'll even get a chance or two to do some actual artwork aside from some design stuff.
